Mono-Curve Post™ System

Example

The Mono-Curve system is available in three standard widths: 912mm., 1,372mm. and 1,652mm. (all approx.), to a height of 5,000mm. This system produces stylish curved-faced signs. Back-lighting is an option, with the customer supplying their own digital printed faces sandwiched between opal and clear acrylic (up to 900mm. width only). Maintenance is very simple on the illuminated versions, thanks to spring-loaded flip-open trims, allowing quick access to remove panels. You also have the option of applying digital printed vinyl faces direct to the non-illuminated aluminium face panels.

The standard Spectra signcase - from which all other variations derive - is the most basic part of the system. However, it too has been expanded, and can now offer a hinged opening-front version. There are three trim styles to choose from - standard, bullnose, and for larger sizes, wide. A stand-off fixing bracket it also available for projecting signs. The hinged versions are not to be confused with the hinged Poster Case, as the standard hinged front is for obtaining fast entry into the case to carry out maintenance on the control gear, or change lamps. On the Poster Case, the hinged front is for gaining access between the front and rear panels to remove or insert posters. Two standard signcase widths are available, both capable of single and double-sided applications. The standard sections can be joined to create a further three wider sections, useful for free-standing signs where posts are to be hidden internally. We also offer optional internal reinforcements for projecting signs, which we recommend you use.

Alu-Face system

Example

The Alu-Face system was designed to provide an alternative to the present methods of creating aluminium-faced illuminated signs. Up until Alu-Face was available, sign companies could slide flat stencil-cut aluminium panels into standard signcases, or fold returns on to aluminium panels, creating a lid-type of construction which sleeved over illuminated signcases. Both of these methods were quite acceptable apart from the aesthetics of the flat panels, and the difficulty with joints on the folded panels. Both also suffered from a high risk of damage when removing panels for maintenance, due to the weakness inherent in stencil-cut panels. All of the above problems have been eliminated with Alu-Face. It has an extremely attractive appearance, thanks to smooth, curved edges, and panel joints that are always perfect, as they are bonded. Damage at the maintenance stage is not an issue, as panels never require removal, thanks to a hinged-opening front. Please note: the Alu-Face Classic front profile is a new addition to the range.

The new Fascia Curve system allows simple construction of high quality curved-faced fascia signs. This user-friendly system utilises intelligent design to provide simplicity from construction to installation. Fascia Curve is available in three standard widths (968mm., 670mm., and 368mm.) matched to any continuous length. We can also provide widths in between the standard sizes, however due to end caps having to be manufactured to suit, the cost will be much greater, and delivery time increased. Fascia Curve is constructed completely from aluminium, with the standard colour being white. Most standard RAL colours are also available to suit your requirements. Back-lit units are available up to a maximum length of 2,440mm. oweing to limited space for expansion available in the end caps. 3mm. thick polycarbonate is recommended. Fitting Fascia Curve could not be simpler, due to the spring-loaded flip-open trims which allow fitting without removing panels.

Poster Case System

Example

The Poster Case system was designed for a growing market in the outdoor advertising sector, for prestigious locations such as airports, stations, shopping centres, cinema complexes etc. This system provides the means of back-lighting transparencies and posters, and has a top hinged opening front which can be gas strut-assisted, or alternatively supported with mechanical arms. The media is protected by a clear Vivac polycarbonate, which is bonded on to the extrusion. Rubber gaskets provide a seal between front and rear panels. The front section is locked in position by slam locks which require only the puzzle key for opening. A number of signcase widths are available to suit various applications. A double-sided and single-sided version can be facilitated by using two internal posts which are then clad to provide a single monolith appearance. Various styles can also be achieved with our radius edge version.

The 100mm. diameter post is a heavy duty, multi-purpose post, utilising multi-panel configuration, while also accepting many of the Spectra signcases (such as Poster Case, Speed Flex etc.). Optional external illumination is available by utilising Highlight. Heavy duty welded surface base plates are also available. Other forms of customisation such as apex-shaped top panels can further enhance the looks of the basic sign. The maximum size of face that we would recommend for this post is 1,220 x 3,600mm., and a maximum of 4,600mm. post length, depending on location.

76mm. Post System

Example

The 76mm. diameter post has always been the industry standard for most medium sized applications, including local authorities work. The post offers multi-panel configuration, and is suitable for mounting the likes of poster frames in-between. It also doubles as a barrier system, suitable for car parks and exhibitions thanks to the heavy duty die-cast base plates and radius elbow which allows a top cross bar to be constructed (goal-post-style). The maximum size of face that we would recommend for this post is 900 x 2,440mm., and a maximum of 4,000mm. post length, depending on location.

The 100mm. Half-Circle Post was designed for a fast food car park sign, for which it offers a very attractive slimline monolith appearance, with the ability to be internally illuminated by stencil-cutting the aluminium panels, then applying acrylic to the rear. Lamps must not however be directly behind lettering, as this will cause bright spots and striping. This post is mounted in position using a 50mm. square insert support post which provides the strength to allow signs up to 900 x 1,800mm. to be constructed. Because of the channel configuration, this post can also create a number of other styles, accepting double panels, allowing acrylic to be used in addition to aluminium.
